Freedom From Religion
Religion is a prison to the mind. It traps creativity and the very thing that makes life exciting, curiosity. Religion tells you to not question authority. It tells you the world and your reality is small, that you are born with a fault that only religion can repair. Well I don't buy it. There is nothing wrong with me. I was born a human, full of thoughts and ideas, aware of my own mind! I intend on using my gifts, not wasting them. I hope to find more people who think for themselves so we can be counted. The religious right in America gets whatever it wants because they are organized. It it time we were heard as well.
It makes me sad to see how backwards so many people are living. Billions of people are trapped in a world where if they mis-step or break a rule in a book, the punishment will be to burn for eternity. How can you live a full life with the constant worry of the threat of hell?
Why would an all knowing, unconditionally loving God allow a place called Hell to be created just for souls to be tortured? What kind of mind can allow itself to believe this concept? Or the impossible situations in the biblical stories. Billions of people actually believe that a 900 year old man named Noah and his family built a ship large enough, & with enough supplies to keep alive a pair of every type of creature on Planet Earth for 40 days and nights. The same people do not believe in the science of evolution.

How is this possible that some of us can look facts in the face and accept them for what they are, and some of us choose the myth or the fantasy? Is it just easier to go with the flow? Is it too much of a challenge and a bother to be asked to use the mind that you have?
Religion has done enough damage. We as a society think it is OK to teach our children what we know to be scientifically impossible, to be fact. We raise them up to believe they are part of a special group of people on the planet who know the truth and are responsible for sharing it with the world, yet we never teach them to do any actual research. We don't like when they ask questions or raise concerns because its just to easy to go with the flow.
Well I say the time for trapping the human mind has come to an end! We should not allow known lies to continue to be taught as facts! Just imagine what our world would be like if we set free all the minds on it!
